Do I need to choose a currency?
Yes. Choose the currency you want NoteTell Money Reader to recognize, and it reads every bill in that currency.
Can NoteTell identify banknotes without the internet?
Yes. Every currency is included in the app, and notes are recognized on your iPhone, so NoteTell Money Reader works offline, including in airplane mode.
Do I need to download currencies first?
No. Every currency is inside the app from the moment you install it.
Can NoteTell identify folded or damaged banknotes?
Yes. NoteTell reads notes that are folded, worn, or torn, from either side and at any angle. A small part of the note is enough.
How should I hold my iPhone?
Any way you like. NoteTell works with your iPhone upright or sideways.
Does it work at night?
Yes. NoteTell identifies money in different lighting conditions, including at night. NoteTell automatically enables the flashlight when your device determines it’s in a dark environment.
Can I use it quietly?
Yes. When Vibration Mode is on, NoteTell stays quiet and tells you the value by vibrating instead.
Does it read coins?
No. NoteTell reads banknotes only.
Which languages does NoteTell speak?
NoteTell reads out the value in several local languages.
Which iPhone models does it work on?
NoteTell runs on older iPhone models as well as new ones. The App Store page lists the exact requirements.
Does NoteTell track me?
No. NoteTell doesn’t include trackers, analytics, or advertising.
Does it read old notes that are no longer in use?
NoteTell reads the notes in use today. It isn’t designed for notes that have been withdrawn.
Can NoteTell tell if a note is fake?
No. NoteTell identifies the value of a banknote, but it doesn’t check whether a note is genuine or counterfeit.
How do I start the free trial?
Open NoteTell, go to Settings, and tap Full version to start your 14-day free trial. There’s no automatic charge when it ends.
What can I do with the free version?
The free version identifies the two lowest bills of each currency. To identify every bill, try the full version free for 14 days. When the trial ends, NoteTell goes back to the free version, and there’s no automatic charge. Buy the full version once whenever you’re ready. There’s no subscription.
